(The Story of the O's - Dutch Version)

Overzicht

De twee O's was ons allereerste verhaal. Vele jaren werd het gebruikt als onderdeel van trainingen voor medewerkers uit de geestelijke gezondheidszorg om het belang van reflectieve supervisie te illusteren. Doorheen de jaren vroegen veel mensen toestemming om het verhaal te mogen gebruiken in hun trainingen en werd het toegevoegd als deel van het handboek van de Child-Parent Psychotherapy training. Mensen vertelden ons dat het verhaal hielp om hen eraan te herinneren te vertragen en na te denken over het perspectief van het gezin. Gegeven het belang hiervan, wilden we dit delen zodat meer mensen dit kunnen gebruiken. We hopen dat je ervan geniet!

Caveat

Hoewel Nieuwe O wordt afgebeeld als rond en stralend, hebben we allemaal, zoals door velen aangegeven, onze blutsen en builen.

Tara Santens

Tara Santens graduated as orthopedagogue and obtained a doctoral degree at the Family and Special Education Research Unit at the University of Leuven. As part of Prof. Dr. Guy Bosmans' Learn2Trust lab, she engaged in research on parent-child attachment relationships and on the implementation and dissemination of Attachment-Based Family Therapy (ABFT), an evidence-based family therapy program for depressed and suicidal adolescents that primarily focuses on repairing/strengthening attachment relationships. Tara worked several years as ABFT therapist at the child psychiatric treatment unit for adolescents at UPC KU Leuven. Currently, she is active as coordinator, ABFT-trainer and -supervisor within the ABFT Belgium training center at KU Leuven, and as ABFT therapist in her own private practice.

Leen Van Vlierberghe dutchPin

Leen Van Vlierberghe

Leen Van Vlierberghe is a clinical child psychologist and family therapist. She obtained a doctoral degree in developmental psychopathology at Ghent University, and worked at a child psychiatry unit for preschoolers and in the middle childhood team of an outpatient mental health care center. Leen currently works as a postdoc researcher in Prof. Guy Bosmans’ Learn2Trust lab at KULeuven. Together with Prof. Bosmans, she developed and investigates Middle Childhood Attachment-Based Family Therapy (MCABFT), a version of ABFT that is modified for treatment of 8 to 12 year olds and their parents.

Guy Bosmans

Guy Bosmans is a clinical child psychologist who obtained a doctoral degree in developmental psychopathology at Ghent University and he is a full professor at KU Leuven. His work focuses on the study of attachment development and the role of attachment in the development and treatment of psychopathology. He is the academic head of the KU Leuven’s Cognitive Behavior Therapy training and the Attachment-Based Family Therapy training center.

Marlies Wintmolders

Marlies Wintmolders graduated as a clinical child psychologist and worked several years as a family counselor in special youth care. Recently, she started in Prof. Dr. Guy Bosman’s Learn2Trust lab as a PhD student. Her research is on the Learning Theory of Attachment where she focuses on both fundamental processes and the development and implementation of a blended-care clinical application of this theory.

Nicole Vliegen

Nicole Vliegen, PhD, is Full Professor in Clinical Psychology at KU Leuven, Leuven, Belgium, and a psychodynamic child psychotherapist. She heads the postgraduate training programme in Psychodynamic Child Psychotherapy and Infant Mental Health, and the team of psychodynamic child psychotherapists at PraxisP, the clinical centre of KU Leuven. Her research and clinical work focusses on children with complex trauma.
